Now on a city territory Ust Kamenogorsk transportation of passengers and luggage and also loads is carried out by automobile, railway, water, air, electric transport.
The city railway transportation has a junction of Zashchitф unit of Almaty railway RSE «Kazakhstan Temir Zholy» and a building of railway station on 150 places.

City air transportation is carried out by joint-stock company «the Airport Ust Kamenogorsk» is the legal body which founder is the East Kazakhstan region akimat. The given airport possesses all necessary agents for service of the aircrafts belonging to airlines which are engaged in transportation of passengers, luggage, a load, mail.
River transport does not function now in the absence of transport park and an infrastructure.

Electric transport of a city carries out the association with limited responsibity enterprise «Tahami a way». The status of the basic carrier in the city of Ust Kamenogorsk belongs to motor transport.

The control on realization of regular city passenger transportations of passengers and luggage is included into the competence of department of housing and communal services, passenger transport and highways of a city of Ust Kamenogorsk.
Technological management movement of buses and minibuses is carried out by the central dispatching service the CSE «the Centre management of passenger transportations». The dispatching service works in a round-the-clock regimen and has possibility to trace movement of each bus and a minibus on a line.
The routeing network of a city of Ust Kamenogorsk is generated on the basis of the project of reorganization of a routeing network of the municipal transportation developed by experts of the East Kazakhstan technical university in 2006.

Now the city of Ust Kamenogorsk is served by 64 routes of automobile public transport, from them: 15 minibus and 49 bus routes. Daily on city routes there are 338 buses and 118 minibuses.
